PRP - Platelet-Rich Plasma

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy for Dogs is a regenerative treatment that uses your dog’s own concentrated blood platelets to speed healing for conditions such as arthritis, ligament and tendon injuries, and chronic wounds. Growth factors are injected to reduce inflammation and promote tissue repair. This minimally invasive, drug-free procedure improves mobility and comfort naturally.

How It Works

  • Blood Draw: A small amount of blood is taken from your dog.
  • Centrifugation: The blood is spun in a centrifuge to separate and concentrate the platelets and growth factors.
  • Injection: The platelet-rich plasma is injected directly into the affected joint, tendon, IV site, or wound.
  • Topical Use: PRP can also be applied topically to certain wounds.

What It Treats

  • Osteoarthritis / Degenerative Joint Disease: Helps reduce pain and inflammation.
  • Soft Tissue Injuries: Supports the healing of ligament strains and tendon tears.
  • Wound Healing: Promotes recovery in chronic wounds, burns, and large lacerations.
  • Dental Issues: May help with gingivitis.

Benefits

  • Uses your dog’s own blood, making it a safe and natural option.
  • Promotes tissue repair and regeneration.
  • Can improve mobility and overall comfort.
